This Privacy Policy explains how Lock Screen Memo ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the App.

About the App

Lock Screen Memo is a memo app that lets you create sticky notes on a board, organize them by category, and display selected notes on Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets (primarily on iOS). The App works without account registration and without uploading your memo content to our servers.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The following is stored locally on your device:

• Memo text and board layout (sticky notes, order, categories)
• Display preferences (fonts, sizes, colors, backgrounds, mascots)
• Widget display settings (which memos appear on Home and Lock Screen widgets)

On iOS, widget-related data may be shared within the device via Apple's App Group (group.com.sai.LockMemo.lockmemo) so the App and widget extensions stay in sync. This remains on your device and is not sent to us.

We do not operate cloud servers to store or sync your memos. Deleting the App generally removes locally stored data, subject to your operating system.

2. Information We May Collect (Advertising and Technical)

• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS when permitted, advertising ID on Android)
• Device and technical information (OS version, app version, language, screen characteristics)
• Ad interaction data (requests, impressions, clicks, rewarded completion where applicable)
• Network-related data required to deliver ads (e.g., IP address processed by ad networks)

We do not use a separate first-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK beyond what ad partners may collect for ad delivery.

3. How We Use Information

• Providing App features (memos and widgets on your device)
• Serving and measuring ads (banner, interstitial, app-open, rewarded where enabled)
• Preventing fraud and abuse in ad delivery
• Improving performance, stability, and UX
• Responding to inquiries and fulfilling legal obligations

Optional fonts may be downloaded from Google Fonts when you select certain typefaces.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob (Google LLC) — advertising
• Google Fonts (Google LLC) — optional font delivery
• Apple App Tracking Transparency (iOS) — tracking permission for ads

We do not sell your memo content to third parties.

5. Legal Bases and Regional Rights

We comply with applicable laws including APPI (Japan), GDPR (EEA/UK, where applicable), and CCPA/CPRA (California, where applicable). Memo content is on your device; delete it in the App or by uninstalling. Limit ad tracking in iOS Settings or Android advertising ID settings.

6. Data Retention

Memo content remains on your device until you change or remove it. Advertising data is retained as needed for the App and per third-party policies.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method is completely secure. You are responsible for sensitive information you store in memos and for securing your device.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is." Widget display may depend on your device, OS, and configuration.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date.
